2.To advocate respect for intellectual property rights, it is expected to promote the awareness and use of free software on campus, and reduce the use of illegal software.
3.It is expected to improve students' life observation while encouraging logical thinking and creativity through the creative application of technological tools.
4.The Appathon competition, plus hands-on implementation, is a way of helping stimulate students' learning motivation by increasing the opportunity for the final round of judging students to observe the program design and share and exchange ideas.

Background and motivation of Taiwan Regional App Inventor Appathon organized by National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU)
1.The MIT App Inventor Foundation indicated that the number of the user in Taiwan is the 2nd largest according to the database, so as to take the initiative to invite Professor Ting-Chia HSU in National Taiwan Normal University to organize Taiwan Regional App Inventor Appathon because she was the visiting faculty of CSAIL in MIT in 2019. The selected team to be the representative team of Taiwan (equivalent to organizing a global Hackathon where the winning teams) can present their work and project at the AI & Education summit.

2.In the 108 curriculum, the concept of technology is "to guide students to design appropriate objects by observing and experiencing needs or problems in their daily lives, and to clarify understanding, generalize, analyze, or solve problems in their lives using the tools of computer science.” MIT App Inventor is a graphical programming language used to create mobile applications, also known as block programming, and is currently included in Taiwan's National Middle School Information Technology (NMSIT) textbook, as well as the bridging material between middle school and high school.

3.MIT App Inventor Foundation approves that the selected team from Taiwan will be the equivalent of the winning team of the global Hackathon. The official website will display the logos of the Ministry of Education in Taiwan and the host university, as well as the team's works, and invite the students of the representative team from Taiwan to interact with the other winning teams at the site to promote international exchanges.
